    ​Redkar Hospital at Pernem is biggest Pvt. Hospital in Pernem Taluka, which Cater patient from the state of Maharashtra and Goa.

    In view of recent incident at Kolkata, West Bengal, a meeting was conducted with the staff of Redkar Hospital, Dhargal Pernem, to examine about their secure atmosphere in the Hospital.

    SDPO Pernem Shri. Jivba Dalvi along with PI Sachin Lokre of Pernem PS visited Redkar Hospital and had interaction session with Dr. Sagar Redkar, Dr. Supriya Redkar & other Doctors, Nurses and Health workers, about 30 staffs of Redkar Hospital attended the meeting.

    ​SDPO Pernem Jivba Dalvi, assured them with all help in any emergency and given instructions to patrolling staff to visit the Hospital on regular intervals and sign on the register so that Police presence is felt and Hospital staff will feel more secure to work.

    ​Police are satisfied with the CCTV surveillance which is installed in the Hospital.

    SDPO Pernem, Jivba Dalvi has highlighted various laws regarding safeguard of Healthcare professionals such as The Prevention of Violence against Healthcare Professional and Clinical Establishments Bill, 2002 and The Goa Medicare Service Personnel an Medicare Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage or loss to property) Act 2013, wherein if there are any assault on Doctors or on any medical staff, all the offences in the act are Non-Bailable.

    SDPO Pernem informed Doctors and staff of Hospital that there are number of Special laws defined to safeguard the security of Doctors and health workers.

    ​SDPO Jivba Dalvi, appealed the staff of Hospital to inform Police if any criminal offence takes place or if they suspect that there can be criminal offence.

    SDPO Dalvi is confident that with this meeting moral of Doctors and nurses will boost and they can work fearlessly .

    Such visit will continue in all small and big hospitals in Pernem Taluka.
