Upon specific information Crime Branch team lead by PI Laxi G. Amonkar and staff consisting PI, Prashal Dessai, PC.B.No.6893, Samiulla Makandar, PC-5992 Navin P. Palyenkar, PC-6752, Sujay Naik, PC-7290, Rahul P. Naik, and LPC-8488, Roshni Shirodkar, HG- Nitam Khot conducted a narcotic raid at near Chicolna bus stand, Chicolna, Mormugao Goa and caught red handed accused person Nibu Vincent S/o P.V. Vincent @ Wilson, Age 45 years, R/o Sea Veiw Apartment, C Block, Near Sanjeevni Hospital, Baina, Vasco Da Gama Native of H.No. 23A, Jaigirghat road, Thakur Pukur, Kolkatta -63, W.B. for being in possession 4.325 Kilograms of white colour powder like substance suspected to be narcotic drug “Cocaine” all worth Rs. 43,20,00,000/-, attached under the panchanamaand one blue colour mobile phone make Vivo is taken in to custody. Further upon disclosure of accused No.1) Nibu Vincent S/o P.V. Vincent @ Wilson, accused persons namely 2) Reshma w/o MangueshWadekar R/o H.No.362, Jetty, Harbour road, Sada, Mormugao, South Goa and 3) Manguesh S/o JaiwantWadekar R/o H.No.362, Jetty, Harbour road, Sada, Mormugao, South Goa who are the associates of accused No.1 in this case were traced upon technical surveillance and have been arrested on 15.04.2025 at 01.50 hrs. at Crime Branch, Ribandar Goa after obtaining necessary permission from JMFC, Vasco.
Investigation so far has revealed that Reshma got the consignment from someone and was trying to sell in Goa. The drug was found hidden in Wafer and Coffee packets suspected to have been brought from outside country. Further investigation of the case is in progress with PI, Laxi G. Amonkar under supervision of DYSP Crime Branch-1, Shri Rajesh Kumar and SP, Crime, Shri Rahul Gupta, IPS to find more backward forward links.
