Awareness campaign against use of paper cups for hot beverages organised. Event was hosted by DMC in collaboration with Lions Club of Mapuca & Mapusa Municipal Council at MMC Mapusa. Chairperson Mrs. Dr. Nutan Bicholkar expressed her views and supported the event. MJF Lion Shreedhar Naik President of Lions Club of Mapuca in his address share that he has already been sent the message in Lions District 317 B. and assured that he will see that awareness will be done through out Goa with the help of Lions Clubs and may be extended for whole District. Eradication of harmful micro plastic polymer is need of the hour and whole heartedly supported by Lions to maintain healthy lifestyle and environment protection. Principal of DMC College Professor Dilip Arolkar in his statement said that it was his plan to raise the issue at large by looking at the consequences of micro plastic polymers. Increase in cancer patients is a major cause of this he added. Vice chairman of MMC proposed vote of thanks to all supporters and attendees.
