Calangute Police Station was in receipt of information that one accused person by name Omprakash, age 43 years r/o Niwas Valiyathura Vallakkadav Thiruvanathapuram Kerala based from Kerala has absconded from Kerala after committing serious crime of attempt to commit murder for which an offence stands registered at TVM City Police Station in Kerala vide Crime No. 17/2023 u/s 143, 147, 148, 149, 341, 294(b), 120(b), 324, 506, 427, 307 and 27 of Arms Act.
As such information in this regard was circulated amongst the staff of Calangute Police Station who successfully nabbed the above accused today i.e. on 02.12.2023 while he was driving in and around Calangute area in a rented car.
The said accused person after committing the crime at Kerala has come down to Goa on 21.11.2023 and was housing in one resort at Calangute, who was then handed over to Kerala Police who took the custody of the accused and after following legal prosedure, he was produced before the Court and is being transported to Kerala.
PC-6118 Amir Garad, PC-6644 Vijay Naik, PC-7117 Bhagwan Palyekar, PC-7119 Ganpat Tiloji, PC-7522 Gaurav Chodankar and PC-8304 Babuso Salgaonkar did commendable work by apprehending the accused person under the Supervision of Police Inspector Shri Paresh Naik of Calangute Police Station.
