Porvorim Police have arrested one accused person for committing mobile thefts.
As per PI Porvorim Rahul Parab a complaint was lodged by Mr. Jose Ivo Gregorio Barreto, owner of Holiday Village hotel at Betim wherein he informed that since last some months many mobile phones were being stolen and as such Porvorim Police were on the hunt of accused person.
Finally early morning on 02/12/2023 accused person namely Mr. Mario s/o Menin Fernandes, age 23 yrs, r/o H. no 536, Chinchinim Mingfalwado, navelim Salcete Goa was nabbed while he had come to commit theft again.
An FIR under sections 379, 511 IPC has been registered and police are in the process of recovering many stolen mobile phones.
The investigation team consisted of PSI Sanket Talkar, Constables Nitesh Gaude, Ajay Korgaonkar and driver constable Gauresh Londhe.
