Major accident occurred at near 23 Restaurant, Arpora on 2nd December at wee hours. The tourist while crossing the road to sit in their XUV 700 car bearing no. TS-06-EZ-1816 (facing towards Calangute direction), one read colour Polo car bearing no. GA-03-Z-8001 which was proceeding in high speed from Anjuna side to Calangute side gave dash to three tourist who were about to sit in their car and the Polo car along with its driver went into the nullah causing serious injuries to the tourist and the driver of the Polo car.
Immediately the injured were shifted to District Hospital Mapusa along with the driver of the Polo car wherein the tourist namely Mr. Mahesh Sharma r/o Nasik Maharashtra, Mr. Dilipkumar Bang r/o Hyderabad, Mr. Manojkumar Soni r/o Hyderabad were declared dead at District Hospital Mapusa and driver of Polo car namely Anton Bychkov, age 27 yrs, Russian National is currently undergoing medical treatment at GMC Bambolim who is also seriously injured.
The statements of the survivors who is the driver and friend of the Tourist have been recorded.
The post mortem is being conducted of the deceased at GMC Bambolim.
In this connection Anjuna PS M.V. Accident no. 99/2023 dt. 02.12.2023 has been registered
The legal action will be taken as per law against accused driver.
