A Mega Breast Cancer Screening Camp was successfully organized on Sunday at Shree Rastroli Satingan Devasthan Trust, Peddem, in a collaborative effort by JCI Bardez Bandhan, Yuvraj Singh Foundation’s YouWeCan initiative, and Unity Small Finance Bank. The camp aimed to spread awareness about breast cancer and provide free screening to women.
The event was graced by Dr. Tarak M. Arolkar, Councillor of Ward No. 07, Mapusa Municipal Council, as the Chief Guest. He appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of early detection in fighting breast cancer.
The screening camp was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Nidhi Talkar and Dr. Shruti Gaonkar, who played a pivotal role in the medical evaluations. The event was also attended by Bhanudas Gadekar, Secretary of Rastroli Satingan Devasthan Trust, who extended his support to the initiative.
JCI Bardez Bandhan’s President, JC Sweety Volvoikar, along with Founder President JC Shiya Naik, Project Coordinator JC Priyanka Vernekar, and member JC Tomba Mandal, worked tirelessly to ensure the camp’s smooth execution. Shefali Khare, Manager of Unity Small Finance Bank, also contributed to the success of the event.
