One arrested from Mumbai by Mapusa Police for kidnapping minor girl.
One Madhya Pradesh Native has been arrested by Mapusa Police for kidnapping one girl from girls hostel located within Mapusa Police Station jurisdiction .
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi on 07th January 2023 the warden of Girls hostel , Mapusa lodged complaint against Unknown Person that one girl aged 14 year who had left for shopping in Mapusa Market in afternoon had left for market but didn’t return back. In this respect Mapusa Police Station had registered FIR under sections 363 IPC and Sec 8 of Goa Children’s Act. Further, as per instructions of SDPO Dalvi, PI Shitakant Nayak constituted teams with instructions to collect the intelligence in respect of accused involved. The accused person was found to be on the move with the victim girl.
Further, SDPO Dalvi contacted his counterparts of Mumbai Police through which staff was deputed at Navpada, Mumbai and after thorough human and technical the victim and the accused person were traced at Mumbai and brought to Mapusa.
The accused person has been identified as Mr. Akshay Manohar Tayde , aged 21 years R/o Bhopal , Madhya Pradesh and is remanded in Police custody. The investigation team consisted of PSI Sunil Patil , PSI Gaurav Naik , HC Sushant Chopdekar , PC Rajesh Kandolkar , Prakash Polekar , LPC Siddhi Harmalkar all of Mapusa Police Station .
Investigation is in progress under Supervision of PI Shitakant Nayak , SDPO Jivba Dalvi and SP North Nidhin Valsan, IPS.
