DRAG President Avelino de Sa appointed as Board Member of National Trust under Ministry of Social Justice New Delhi.

Disability Rights Association of Goa President Mr. Avelino de Sa is appointed as Board Member of the National Trust for the welfare of Persons with autism cerebral palsy intellectual disability and multiple disability under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (Department of Empowerment of persons with disability) New Delhi with immediate effect till November 2025. He is the first person with disability from Goa to be appointed to a Board under the Central Government.
Mr. De Sa has been working for 20 years to bring persons with disability into the mainstream society in Goa. He is the Founder and President of Disability Rights Association of Goa and is a Member of the Goa State Advisory Board on Disability, Goa State Legal Services Authority, Association of Crusaders with Jesus and Mary Panjim and National Committee for Protection of Rights of Persons with Disability New Delhi.
He has been awarded the ADAPT National Award for activism and Dr. Batras Positive Hero Award.
