The officials of GSPCB along with the Mapusa Deputy Collector, Bardez Mamlatdar and the Calangute police on Thursday night sealed 11 dance bars and pubs out of 13 Dance Bars at Calangute which were operating without obtaining consent to operate from the GSPCB.
Only two dance bars were found to have obtained consent to operate from the GSPCB.
Devils Club, Norms Pub, Black Heart, Shield/Next Level, Three Kings, Mehfil, 39 Steps, Posh Nosh, Tropical 24×7, Codda and Plantain Leaf Rest were sealed.
Chawla Dilwala and Club Tao had obtained consent to operate from GSPCB.
It may be recalled that Last week, the High Court had asked the Director of Panchayat and the GSPCB to initiate action against allegedly illegal structures situated within the jurisdiction of the Calangute Village Panchayat, which were allegedly illegally operating dance bars and pubs.
